Sunflower meal
Sunflower meal is an excellent way to supplement protein in feed. It contains significant amounts of crude fibre, including pectins and arabinoxylans, which reduce nutrient digestibility and amino acid absorption. Middlings are a by-product of the extraction of oil from sunflower seeds.
Sunflower cake
Sunflower cake is a very popular component of compound feeds. It contains many organic components, including B vitamins. The oilcake is produced by pressing ground and heated sunflower seeds.
